If you’re sitting in the middle of your cluttered living room reading this, you’re probably at the point in your life where you’re sick of dealing with clutter and are looking for a solution to your problem.

It might help you to know that you’ve come to the right place. Clutter isn’t just an eyesore, it’s an emotional minefield, that can cause more than just frustration. It can make you feel like your brain is in a fog, and you have no idea how to make your way out.

Here are some of the ways that clutter is wrecking your life:

Clutter limits your brain’s ability to process information and can make you feel distracted. In a study done at Princeton University Neuroscience Institute, researchers found that clutter competes for your attention, and wears down your ability to focus. To do your best work, clear away the clutter before you start your task.

Clutter Increases Stress Levels

Over-consumption and the clutter it causes makes your stress hormones spike.

A study from UCLA of Los Angeles families with homes that were filled with an abundance of toys and household items found that 75% of the families couldn’t park their cars inside their garages because they were overloaded with “stuff”.
