Have You Tried the 4 Day Workweek?

Iā€™ve been working since I was 16 years old.

I have no idea whose genius concept it was to create the 5 Day workweek, but it blows.

As a society, we work 5 consecutive days and take 2 off. If you work in an office environment, those two days ā€˜offā€™ are usually weekend days spent hustling to do things like grocery shopping, maybe banking, spending time with family, etc.

Weekends are NOT relaxing.

Iā€™ve never been one who likes crowds, so grocery shopping or standing in line at the bank on the weekend has never been something Iā€™m fond of. I avoid it at ALL costs.

Shoot. Leaving the house AT ALL on the weekend frightens me.

But thatā€™s another conversation.

Iā€™ve been an entrepreneur and an employee. Right now Iā€™m an employee again (a temporary circumstance), for a company that considers ā€œfull timeā€ to be 28 to 32 hours.

If you think Iā€™m spreading 32 working hours out over 5 days, Iā€™ve got news for you my friend.

At the moment, Iā€™m also working on my ā€˜exit planā€™ and I figured that having that one extra day to help accelerate that plan would be super helpful.

That was an understatement.
