How to Come Up With New Topics to Write About

I usually write from home because itās where Iām the most comfortable, but I decided to switch things up a bit today. Right now Iām sitting in a coffee shop writing this.
The shop is a lively little place about two blocks from my apartment, and when I got here it was about 10 am and already relatively full. There were only a couple of empty tables. Naturally, I headed for the one in the corner and settled in.
To my right about 3 tables away, thereās a man and woman talking about work-related issues; everything from how theyāre not being paid what they think theyāre worth, to asserting yourself at the office.

I canāt stand loud talkers. I used to date one, and I think the experience left a scar.
Amongst the clatter of dishes, the faint chatter of the other patrons and the āssshhhhhā sounds of the barista making drinks, the conversation of these two particular people can be heard over everything (and everyONE) else.
The woman has long dark hair that she keeps running her fingers through, and the man is wearing a thick silver wedding band.
I donāt think theyāre a couple.
Then thereās the dude sitting at the table beside me. Heās wearing earphones and his laptop is open on the table in front ofā¦
